PROJECT INITIATION PROCESS
If you are making a request on behalf of a Student Organization, skip to Step 2C.
Step 1: Determine the possible budget of your project. If it is definitely less than $750,000, move to Step 2A. If it may exceed $750,000, please skip to Step 2B.
Step 2A: For a project under $750,000, use the Project Initiation Request form to initiate a project. Once you have completed this form, please wait to hear from one of our staff members.
*Please note, only UA faculty/staff can initiate a project and the form requires an Everest login.
Step 2B: In adherence to Board Rule 415, Projects that require over $750,000 are considered to be Capital Projects that require approval by the Board of Trustees and will require additional documents. If your project may exceed $750,000, complete the Project Initiation Request form. Once you have completed the form, please contact Sommer Coleman by email or call (205) 348-8125.
Step 2C: Student Organizations that need to initiate a project should visit the Division of Student Life’s page on Construction Projects and follow the instructions there.
